I woudn´t recommend Hilton Vienna Stadtpark as a workplace to fellow colleagues who would like to build and go forward in their careers. Playing the games and worshiping managers is the only way to get recognized, forget about your education and competencies. Low wages that don´t cover cost of living in Vienna.

Dear Hilton, just read your reviews, hear out your employees and try to invest money to keep them and not to promote youserself as a "top employer" which in reality you are NOT.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The hotel is so big that you have huge line of managers above yourself. Sometimes you don't know to whom you should speak to in regards to your taks.

Kommunikation

There's is handover between shifts, but there´s no really space to give your input to resolve concerns. You just obey.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

The only thing worth about this hotel mentioning are the low positioned employees who really strive to work together and to help out when you need information or guidance.

Work-Life-Balance

You have to plan your vacation way in advance and there are some months where you are not allowed to have vacation due amount of work. e.x. December

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Usually supervisors and managers are self-centered, egoistical and too faced. They all stick together and unless you don´t play the games and don´t hang out with them in private time, regardless of your competencies, you will always be just a number. And it´s the question of time when you will be excluded from the team.

Interessante Aufgaben

There is brainwashing "teamwork" philosophy that everyone has to know every type of work.
So if you decide to built your career as a waiter and there is deficiency of employees in stewarding, be prepared overtake this job without your consent.

Gleichberechtigung

The majority of managers are actually men, but I would say both women and man have equal rights.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Unfortunately this hotel gives minimal wages to their employees and the cost of living in Vienna exceeds your salary.

There is a really good marketing strategy that sell this hotel as a "top employer" but in really it´s completely oposite. Forget about your career - you are there just to fill up the gaps where there is less employees, to be paid as less as possible and to obey everything you have been ordered to do. There is no space for real teamwork to come up with creative ideas in solving problems, to give your input. Even if you try your best you are not recognized and don´t even try to stand up for yourself and your competencies, because otherwise "you don´t fit in the team".
