Replace the CEO with a person who is actaully willing to make this a research-focused company and also focuses on the inner parts of the company instead of attending to one external event after another.
Note: This text had to be edited because the KnowCenter did not like some of my suggestions. The previous text made suggestions on how to use money which is given to the company for reaserch by tax payers and the EU.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Projects are assigned to you out of the blue. From the start to the end there is usually no or very little communication. Your superiors do not have an ear for your problems. Irrational behavior, passive aggressive silence or, at certain events, emotional outbursts are the mediums through which "comunication" is channeled.
Kommunikation
Communication is bad. It is all connected to the way how projects are acquired. Nobody takes responsibility or has an ear for your issues. Don't get fooled.
Work-Life-Balance
Most projects come with a very bad setup. People who still try to do their best will see themselve bring work home either in their heads or literally by working on work-related things just to get the head around.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Not aware or interested into issues, only interested in their carreers at the university. Everything you do is for their CV. Mark my words.
Interessante Aufgaben
I get that people give 5 stars here but I think it is because they are not looking close enough. Sure, almost every projects or task sounds interesting. They are usually connected to very interesting ongoing topics in research (or actually more in the industry), BUT that is usually it.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Be aware that they have to add the years you have worked in the past (by law) and that they also have to put you in the right category in the collective contract.
Watch our for your money (salary) when your start and make sure your contract is setup properly. [I had to edit this part because the previous text required proof. (KnowCenter claimed what I said was not true thus the original text had to be removed.), in case I have to edit this again I might consider to get that proof.]
After all, people talk in this company and there were a lot of things which were not okay imho.

A few months before I started at this company, I had fellow students complaining about the Know-Center after they heard I took a job there. They complained about the missmanagemend and the way you get to your money sometimes. I did not believe them. Today, going to certain events, I would meet people which I never saw before but tell me the same kind of negative stories. Throughout the years I never met a single person which had something positive to say about this company.
