Since the merger of RHI and Magnesita, every year there is a change of strategy, board members or organisation. Very strong focus on short-term profit.
No work-life-balance. 10 hours a day are taken for granted. Being available on weekends and holidays is understood. This topic is a taboo in company.
Very old equipment and software. Most tasks are done manually and paper based.
Working culture is like in a start-up, just improvisations and complete lack of procedures. Employees are under constant fear of losing their jobs. The HR is mostly busy producing propaganda-style videos and does not do basic stuff like period appraisals. Job titles and department names mostly make no sense or don’t match with the actual tasks done. Some managers have accommodated their family members in well paid positions without even going through a formal hiring process.
