The atmosphere is rather bad as good performance is not rewarded.
This depends a lot on who your boss is. There is a bit of everything, but decisions are made top-down and thus it can be frustrating if you want to have an impact on the company.
There is a mix of excellent and "less excellent" colleagues as everywhere.
Tasks are distributed fairly and due to the international nature of the company, it is quite interesting.
Communication from top management is very poor. Employees need to read newspapers to be updated on merger and acquisition topics.
Nowadays, women are being pushed as the percentage of women in middle and top management needs to be improved. There is however a inequality between nationalities. If you are German/Chinese/Brazilian, you get the good expat jobs. Swiss have very low chances to make career as top management fired all Swiss top executives several years ago. Or they left voluntarily as they realized that they have no future.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
In some departments, seasoned employees were replaced by cheap graduates from Eastern Europe and Germany.
Karriere / Weiterbildung
The criteria is unclear. Employees get their jobs not based on their performance rather than how well they are able to network and know other people in the company. Also, Swiss employees are not promoted as they are considered too expensive. Thus, Germans, Asians and Brazilians have the best career perspective.
Gehalt / Sozialleistungen
The salary is quite good, however it is much lower than in the pharma industry.
Very nice offices, focus on work is guaranteed.
Umwelt- / Sozialbewusstsein
The company works on sustainability topics in order to be compliant with EU laws and use it for marketing purposes.
Compared to other companies, the work-life-balance is good as the overtime can be compensated with additional vacations.
The image is quite good as it is a big stock listed Swiss company.
- They should implement a high-performance culture and assign jobs not solely based on nationality or how well someone gets along with the boss.
The international environment with interesting tasks.
There is no effective performance management in place and thus the motivation to do better is very low as it is not awarded. Career perspectives and bonus are not linked to performance.
