Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

They give people multiple chances. They also don't judge too much on educational certificates when hiring, and prefer to see how a person fairs in the office environment.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Maybe, though not proven or certain but suspected of, a little less "Vitamin B" and a little more focusing on how well an individual works in the team and for the company.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

There are always things to do, which challenges our thinking skills and provides a healthy, active atmosphere for us to grow/improve in. Sometimes, we have quieter days, and we usually spend these days joking with colleagues or sharing our experiences. It is an ideal environment which entices us to work hard and play hard.

Kommunikation

Communication doors/options are always kept open. If in the case of personal issues, we can comfortably talk to our team leader. In the case of work, we can always request assistance and help. If in the case of unhappiness due to whatever reason, we are always encouraged to speak up and to share our thoughts (in private, if one requires to do so) in order to better facilitate the work environment. Bottom line is, I do not feel silenced whatsoever and am allowed to communicate freely in the workplace.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Naturally, it would not be possible that everyone gets along with every single person they work with. However, through multiple team-building events throughout the year, we have more chances of getting to know one another out of the workplace, and this helps to better our working relationships and build more trust and camaraderie.

Work-Life-Balance

They are very supportive of furthering our education, and provide the breathing space to do so. We get the ample time we need to prepare for exams / school. i.e. if we require study leave, we are allowed to take off without deducting it from our annual leave. If we have urgent matters to attend; family emergency, doctor's appointment, we only have to inform our leader and can go. We have fixed working hours and are even provided with/encouraged to use the free gym facilities. All in all, they provide the support one might require for sports/education, and the fixed working hours/ability to apply for leave easily, provides the flexibility and stability to better manage our personal lives.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Our superiors lead by example. This is a point I find very respectful and what most leaders should do. They pave the way for us to follow, and provide the space and opportunities for us to grow. They ensure a safe and comfortable working environment for us. Makes it a joy to go to work!

Interessante Aufgaben

Of the different fields I have worked in, I found that office jobs are more repetitive than most. However, in this company and this job, I managed to find the ideal balance between stability and instability. Once in awhile, we get "hit" by issues we had no control over, such as the weather, or other issues that we can not foretell. These issues provide us with challenging problems to solve. It isn't a basic receive/send job, but one that requires us to have forward thinking, problem solving skills, and the ability to maintain and uphold a high standard of work. However, thankfully, these issues do not come round everyday. So we still have our usual routine that we can expect when operations function very smoothly.

Gleichberechtigung

Gender equality is a global issue that is not limited to the workplace. It affects everyone in their every day lives, private life or not. However, I believe that our company rewards individuals based on their merits and not based on their gender, giving each person an opportunity to go further regardless of race, language, gender or religion.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

We all work together and help one another out. For example, the younger ones benefit from the elder's knowledge and experience, and the elder's benefit from the younger's know-how with regards to using tech such as Microsoft Office (which the younger generation would have had already prior training from education, as compared to the older generation which would have to learn this new / go for training) and fresh ideas.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

We are always informed of the latest environmental/social/charity projects and are encouraged to take part. We are also reminded to protect the environment, such as to refrain from wasting paper, for example, or encouraged to use the OV instead of driving.
