In my point of view the company has a strong potential to increase it’s cultural diversity at the headquarters. Sometimes even in the meeting/gathering of more than 30 people, I will be the only person with a non-German name. I think company can only benefit positively from the diversity. This is not a major issue but how they call it meckern auf hohem niveau

People are generally friendly and the culture of “Familienunternehmen” is usually reflected in the working atmosphere.
Kommunikation
Communication on the business development is generally very quick and transparent. However certain organizational changes in the company takes forever to be communicated and therefore lead to certain speculations and “fake news”

In my experience the colleagues are very friendly and cooperative.
Work-Life-Balance
Excellent. Of course there are times when the workload is higher but generally optimal balance between work-life. Working times are flexible, home office and other sports facilities are available. In my experience, the focus lies on the results and output rather than “presence in the company” which is the right approach.

It depends on the person. The good thing is that the company gets feedback from the employees on their managers where one can voice their opinions. This may lead to the improvement in the attitude and business between the employees and their managers.

There are various departments with interesting tasks and projects at the headquarters. The good thing is that employees are encouraged to bring in their own ideas and take their own initiatives.

More and more women are taking on the leadership tasks in the company. The situation may not be ideal however it is certainly better than the similar or even larger corporations in the region.

Kärcher has a dedicated department which is responsible for environmental footprints and sustainability. The environmental and sustainability aspect is reflected in the new designs, facilities and overall energy consumption.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Kärcher is not known for being a pay master but therefore there are many other positive aspects. Roughly said, yes there is a slight gap between Kärcher and other medium-large corporations. But, high performance at Kärcher is rewarded with additional compensation tending to reduce this gap. On the other hand, region is strongly dependent on the automobile sector and very volatile at the moment. As a result, there are reduced working hours and bonuses in many of the regional companies. Kärcher with it’s diverse portfolio and solid strategy is doing well even in the Corona crisis and salaries/bonuses are not affected as much as at other companies.
