The job I had was complex, little training. I was written up because my husband called in sick for me - Unable to talk.
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
I was able to help children and their families. Our secretary was the most supportive person there.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Parking was in a lot several blocks from the Hospital in one of the most dangerous areas of Little Rock. Arriving in dark in morning and leaving in dark most of the year, they needed to be more security than was provided. Had to wait up to 15 min for shuttle. More emphasis on new employee training. More supportive managers and less micromanaging. I had the appropriate background for my position, but needed training specific to the position.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Our manager would play us off against each other creating tension. She also refused to allow adequate time to get the results she wanted.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Too much “tattling”
Kommunikation
Focus on problems
Kollegenzusammenhalt
More or less. Manager would use one against the other
Work-Life-Balance
Fired for being in hospital.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
She micromanaged and complained, but did not support staff with continuing education needs.
Interessante Aufgaben
Micromanager in your face.
Diversität
Their way or the highway.
Gleichberechtigung
Hospitals have large female workforce.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Prefer younger nurses.
Arbeitsbedingungen
3 people crammed in very small office with old computers. We could touch each other.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Not that I noticed.
Barrierefreiheit
Older building mostly modified.
Sicherheit am Arbeitsplatz
OSHA taught
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
I was paid very well.
Image
It was good for my career.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There were a lot of potential advancements within the hospital.
