Listen and talk more to your employees, treat them like humans and not work machines and finally just do all the things you claim to do.
The team members were great, but the overall work atmosphere was stressful and with a lot of pressure from above. There was not enough software licenses and equipment for everybody and organisation was chaotic towards nonexistent. Deadlines were always very very tight and overtime as well as crunchtime omnipresent.
Management didn‘t care about the employees and had no idea how to lead people.
When I left a lot of people in the company were unhappy with the working conditions, the way the company was lead and the direction some things took.
Home office was possible, but work times were very inflexible and overtime and crunchtimes ever-present. You couldn‘t structure your work for the day on your own, because deadlines weren‘t „end of day“ but at specific times of the day. Big projects were announced earlier (meaning 2-3 weeks before work started), but smaller ones mostly didn‘t get much notice (1-3 days most of the time, but also often short-notice „can you squeeze this in today?“).
In theory you could say „no, can‘t do it“, but then maybe your „utilization rate“ would suffer, so everybody always tried to do the macimum workload they could shoulder, no matter if they were ill, stressed or over-worked already.
Vacation time was not a lot when you started and improved only over years of work for the company.
Generally good, but the anonymous „surveys“ the company asked you to fill out about colleagues lead to not openly discussed problems which are just „tattled“ to the management without you ever being told that someone had a problem with you, so no chance for you to address the problem or work it out with the person in question. Talking behind ones back was that way supported by the management.
Also the company always talked about how important team spirit is for them, but nurtured an environment of competition between employees, by openly comparing the performance of employees, randomly (by a raffle) only rewarding some employees for the pronounced work of all and by the above mentioned anonymous „surveys“.
Some colleagues also didn’t know how to address problems in a polite and professional way, if they did so openly to begin with.
Most employees were young, which is typical for the industry.
Management and leads didn’t have any leading competence. Most of the time they weren’t able to help you out with your problems, sometimes not even addressing that there were problems at all.
Management was not interested in their employees, only in the work they could do.
Professional feedback about the work was not considered at all, because the head of the company always thought she knew best, even if others in management who were the experts for the matter told her differently. Sometimes stupid work processes were instilled only to „prove to her that they don‘t work“, which everybody besides her already knew.
Also I sometimes had the impression that personal gain was taken from the head of the company at the expense of the company and its employees.
There was not enough software licenses and equipment for everybody to work. The „company dog“ (from the head of the company) was very badly or not at all trained.
Communication was very bad, because important information about work processes, changes in the company etc. where not relayed or where relayed wrongly. Oftentimes plans were changed, but this was not relayed to the team and when you asked someone about it, it was ridiculed that you were even thinking the first way had ever been approached.
Changes were also most of the times only announced shortterm, so you always had little time to prepare for it and had to adjust quickly.
Payment is not good for permanent employees and outright bad for interns and most freelancers. Especially considering the seat of the company in Berlin, which is a very expensive town to live in.
Women were, as much as I could tell, treated the same as men, but there was absolutely no understanding for (chronic) illness or psychological problems nor for neurodiverse people.
The work itself was diverse and fun, some projects more than others like everywhere. But sadly the overall working experience destroyed every joy I might have otherwise taken from work.
Quantity of work done was always more important than quality.

I worked for this company for four years and I have to say, it was one of the best work environments I have ever experienced. The office was beautiful (on 2 floors), and the team was incredibly friendly and professional. From the beginning, I felt very welcome and supported, which was a big factor in why I stayed for so long.
One of the things I particularly appreciated about this company was its commitment to social responsibilities. The company actively worked to help people from Syria and then Ukraine, and I felt proud to be a part of a company that was so dedicated to these causes.
As a woman, I also appreciated that the company was led by a woman and that over 50% of the team was made up of women. It was great to have such a diverse group of people around me, which allowed more creative solutions.
The feedback culture of the company was also excellent. I felt like I always had open and honest communication with my colleagues and managers, which allowed me to improve and grow.
While I appreciate the company's efforts to adapt to the covid pandemic by allowing employees to work from home, I have to say that the transition was not without its challenges for me. Being away from the office and my coworkers made it difficult to maintain the same level of productivity and collaboration that I was used to. Additionally, it was hard to switch off from work mode when my home office was also my living space - in Berlin it's kind of the usual. However, I do appreciate the support and flexibility that the company provided ahead and during this time, it was just better for me to go back to my family.

Employment situation for interns is awful.
Please fix the employment situation for interns and create a support and feedback structure for them and the rest of the team.
There is a constant deadline pressure and no sufficient support system for employees / within the team
The teams usually are quite happy with their employer. :) Sometimes feels as though people are behaving a little different to fit into the image of the cool video gamer.
Unfortunately this is awfully handled for interns. Work hours are inflexible. Also, other employees feel like they need to support the team and work, when they are actually sick (and potentially thereby infect others)
Everyone is always nice and friendly. Direct and honest communication regarding work could be improved.
One big office for all translators. This makes it dificult to concentrate and increases the risk of getting sick during flu season. No option for remote work.

Well, quite similar tasks, of course, some boring projects with low requirements, but also some very interesting ones. You can partially influence what projects you work on more.
The linguistic/production team has a wonderful atmosphere and everybody is always willing to help. Feedback is always constructive.
Lacking transparency (most people, including some from HR don't know about the freelance contracts for interns), salaries (for both interns and junior coordinators) and communication from management.
Work-life-balance is a huge issue. The workload for the linguistic/production team is ridiculous. There are way too many clients that don't pay enough/cost the team too much time. There should be less and well-picked clients and more coordinators and in-house editors. Resources should be managed more efficiently.
The linguistic team that I'm working with is amazing, everyone is friendly and always ready to help.
People have to do way too much OT, time management is a real problem and the team is chronically overworked.
There is not much in terms of training for interns.
The team spirit is great and people within the linguistic team are always looking out for each other.
Most employees are under 40 I think, but no one is treated differently because of their age as far as I can tell.
My team lead was overworked too, but they were still there for us if there was a problem. The higher ups - not so much... they were pretty ignorant to intern issues and seemingly not interested in solutions.
There is some flexibility with working from home (even from abroad), but in the beginning of my internship there were not enough laptops, so I had to use my own hardware when working from home.
Interns are on the lowest rungs of the company ladder, so we are usually the last to be informed about anything.
Intern contracts are basically freelance contracts, so no social security and pay is abysmal. Starting wages for regular emplyoees are barely above minimum wage.
Employees are very diverse and I felt like everyone is welcome.
The work is pretty interesting and the content very diverse so there is always something new.

The team is great : truly friendly and open-minded. Works events are organised fairly regularly. There's an office dog.
The deadlines can sometimes be a bit stressful, and sometimes there's a lack of structure, but this is being addressed.
The office itself could be a bit bigger, as the company is expanding.

Altagram is a small localization company with an office in the heart of Berlin. With its startup character it is a great place to work. The team is very international and the team spirit fantastic.
Since the company is still very young there are a lot of chances for career development.
A big perk is also the team events and other benefits like free fruits/coffee/Club Mate in the office. The building and office rooms are really nice with a lot of space and room for everyone. There are 2 kitchens to care for a proper lunch with the opportunity to cook.
The company is very young and ambitious in their standards of quality. That sometimes leads to pressure regarding deadlines etc.
