- While our company puts a lot of focus on professional development, one area they should really push that is in communication. A lot of times, some important information is not shared with all parties who should have the information. I also think there should be more cross-departmental training and social activities as there tends to be tension between many different departments. I think this could easily be broken down by more time spent together as a company instead of everyone working in their own world/department. There's some overall struggle of authority among department leaders, which needs improvement.
I've been given the opportunity to teach, which I've wanted to do for a while. My company pays me additional income to teach as it's above and beyond my normal job duties. I have managers who care about me and help me build leadership skills and push me in directions I'd like to go. I feel very supported and empowered, which is something that lacked in my 3 previous jobs. I enjoy working with my team and I feel that ACC is a place that actually values its employees.
Communication is an area that could improve. We also have quite a bit of turnover, which makes day-to-day operations a little inconsistent at times.
