racism by higher up: does not exchange pleasantries or hold doors if you are not a 'White'. This once a colleague was even asked to make coffee.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Train the management inter culturally and technically, adopt documentation practices, provide trainings, better canteen facilities, Lesser racism.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Forget it if you don't speak German or eat/drink like them. The employees seem to lack any understanding of other cultures and society other than EU or USA.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Team colleagues generally are close and seem to be nice superficially at least.
Work-Life-Balance
Basically you just have to finish the work as promised to the customer. The higher up don't document anything and everything is communicated verbally. Thereby leading to delays/ very less work-life balance. If you are not a German, the higher up comes and keeps peeping if you are in the kitchen drinking coffee or in the restroom. Gives you random number of hours to complete a task without consulting or asking you, even if they lack the understanding of the topic.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Superiors are too hierarchical even if sometimes they are ignorant in the topic. Don't take criticism well, also think that juniors need to take in all criticisms they give. If you answer back then it is a negative point in your review meeting. Superiors just want to get the job done, there is lack of understanding of the project and the necessary infrastructure. The IT refuses every request you make. People end up making presentations to them as to why they need certain IT infrastructure in place for the project. Totally inflexible and is too old school to adapt.
Interessante Aufgaben
The management does not give a damn. If it increases the revenue, they just take the project and force you into it.
Gleichberechtigung
Very few women in the workforce. Looks to be a German societal problem and not specific to this company.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
The colleagues are generally young and just out of college. Therefore one cannot seek advice or consultation.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
Absolute minimum. Lacks any interesting offer.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
The people higher up do not care about your future, they just concentrate on increasing their yearly bonuses.
