Chinese (micro)management at its worst

Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The monthly salaries are being paid on time and you get a birthday present and there is a worker’s council in place, who unfortunately doesn’t always act in the interest of the employees but also seems to follow own interests.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

The fact that the top management are completely Chinese and based out of Shanghai and not in Hamburg is an absolutely no go and not a very good idea to run a multi-million-dollar company.
It seems from all of the actions done by the management that they only follow their personal goals to enrich themselves with bonuses and pay rises.

Most of the Chinese managers doesn’t speak one word of English or German.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

As the management are completely reluctant to receive suggestions for any improvements I will skip this part.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The company culture at Bigpoint is very unhealthy, and the working atmosphere is often very tense. None of the local leads of heads can decide freely. The management and almost every decisionmaker is Chinese. Every small decision must be discussed and approved with the management or with the headquarter in China. There is no long-term strategy, vision or plan to stick to. Many actions and most tasks are spontaneously and must therefore be implemented quickly. In case of problems the company is always searching for a guilty person and not for sustainable solutions. Unfortunately, the current management has still not understood that a company is made up of people, not products.

Nothing but lies, propaganda and false promises.

Work-Life-Balance

The perfect Bigpoint employee is single, not older then 30, Chinese, is never sick, takes little vacation, does a lot of overtime, never never never contradicts the management, and blindly follows all company’s rules. There is no compensation for overtime. When you are sick, the company always assumed that you just didn't want to work.

If your have a Chinese as a supervisor its time to leave....

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

The local staff would like to see and execute on environmentally actions but the management dosnt care of this.
