- More discussions between admins and staff when it comes to policy, and willingness to pay staff full time for their hours when they obviously need staff to fill those hours
A large majority of the staff truly care about helping children reach their highest potential and are always willing to work together to help a child who is struggling.
Admins tend to create policies without listening to input from classroom staff, which sometimes creates issues when admin’s directives are impractical in the classroom environment. Very limited full time positions for aides tend to go to older employees (regardless of time employed), and younger staff are hardly ever given full time positions because they do not want to pay for benefits. Some staff are asked to work full time hours at part time pay for a period of time, however admins keep them under the yearly hour limit for part time staff. This contributes to high turnover rates for teachers aides
