- Policies need to apply to everyone, not just the few who choose to enforce them. We need more training.
Teachers are free to choose how to teach the required topics and for the most part, they get along and work well together. We receive several days of training each year on a variety of topics and are encouraged to attend additional training through the local CESA office throughout the year. The school has and practices plans for emergency situations so it feels safe for students and staff.
Women sometimes feel like their voices are less important in the decision making processes. Teachers are expected to provide individualized lessons for students but receive no training on how to do that and very little time to work on them. Rules are passed down from administration but not enforced in some classrooms. We get reminded at meetings, yet nothing is done to those teachers who continue to ignore those rules.
