Decent Work Environment as Public Schools go. Upper management is tough.
Gehalt / Sozialleistungen
I work in the IT department part time and am grossly underpaid for the amount of work I am expected to complete. Budgeting for positions is almost non-existent.
- Get rid of the "old boy" network.
Schools are generally nice places to work. Interacting with staff/students is always enjoyable. Helping provide new technology to the staff/students is rewarding.
They under appreciate hard working staff at all levels, as well as don't realize the importance of certain positions. Generally speaking, the City is plagued with nepotism and general dislike towards a shift in what could be considered the status quo. Upper-level management likes to think they know what goes on throughout the district, but their view is very narrow and not at all a fair representation of what really goes on on a day-to-day basis.
