Understaffing is a huge issue
Could use more time for collaboration
Evaluations take place throughout career
Depends on administration
Primarily women in the workplace
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Lots of older and lifelong employees
Karriere / Weiterbildung
Could always use more PD
Gehalt / Sozialleistungen
Grants for continual funding each year change
More updated technology needed
Umwelt- / Sozialbewusstsein
Provides recycling but not always consistently encouraged
Schedule is fair but work is demanding
Proud to provide education to high needs community
- More consistency with procedures across departments.More ways to sustain morale for all faculty.More ways to access PD such as off campus.
Gave me a second chance at the career I love.Wonderful colleagues and often administration is supportive and approachable.Somewhere you can make a home for yourself and expect and hope to work for many years.Connections with the children and families can be positive and lasting. It is possible to embed yourself within the community.Pay is competitive and there are options to advance or move around within the district.Mentoring and guidance provided to new teachers.
Turnover, especially within administration is frequent. Infrastructure and supplies are often lacking.More training should be provided for working with children with diverse and specialized needs.PTO organizations need to be strengthened.Staffing is low, partially due to funding, but results in daily difficulties across the schools.Transportation is not provided which can be difficult for families.
