Everybody is blaming everyone
You wake up in the morning and see emails and chats sent to you during the night.
That’s the last thing this company should worry about!
Not so many
Mixed use of various communication ways, mostly asking you to check things someone else messed up
Ok that’s a joke!
This was pure elbow fight everyone for itself
First thing that comes here to my mind “Vertrauen ist gut, Kontrolle ist besser”
Things happen, like literally out of blue but downstream communication was just wishful thinking
Kommt darauf an.
toxic
no work life balance at all
blaming
No political b******t between engineers
Many other employees have the same feedback as me
Too much work. People are praised when working extra-hours and working during weekends
You can grow a lot if you are a junior. However, too much work gives to room for learning new things via training or knowledge sharing
matches with other companies in the industry
Everyone is open-minded, friendly and willing to help
Managers work closely with engineers. No finger-pointing
Chaotic, a hyper-growth company with no standard communication, mixing between Teams, emails and in-person communication
Remote work and Work from home are allowed
Great product with a lot of potential and new things to implement
Started as a really small company, grew into a real company but sticks to the old mentallity. But didnt forget to set up a solid frame work that allows structured growth.
Even with most people in 100% home-office we have a solid team that gets together in virtual events and also several live events every year.
MNo
My manager cares about my wellbeing and tries to make sure that we have a healthy work-life-balance
Most people are in home office but we are always welcome to come to the office and enjoy a modern office. If we require extra equipment for our job its easy to get it approved
Regular all hands meetings/newsletter/information sharing
I had never heard of the company before.
Macht weiter so!
Eine ungewöhnlich offene, willkommene Atmosphäre. Total unterstützend, international und divers!
Hier wird es nie langweilig!
The colleagues and the cafe across the street from the office are great. They're now offering remote work which is nice.
- Another good thing is that I'm glad they finally have a strong woman in HR to hopefully stop the bad behavior from management and put the correct processes in place. Too bad it's too late for a lot of people.
Inappropriate behavior from some upper-level men, HR doesn't have your back, burnouts, over time, racism, bad communication of company vision and goals, finger-pointing and blaming....... and and and.
- Please stop using the direct feedback culture as an excuse to treat people badly. Your employees are people with emotions and not robots - the sooner you learn that and respect them, the more willing they will be to do good work for you because they want to and not because they're scared to get fired or scared of getting in trouble.
- Try offering more social benefits to motivate employees (kicker doesn't cut it anymore)
- "HR" should start looking out for the employees and have their backs and not only be "loyal" (in her words) to the co-founders
- Management should communicate the vision and goals more often and clearly and stand by your decisions - it will make everyone else more confident in you instead of doubt your abilities, after all, you know the company best. If you can't do that, let other people step in and do it for you, otherwise the company will fail.
- Be more attentive to your employees - you never know what someone is going through whether it be in or outside of work.
- Stop covering up bad reviews, just accept the criticism and try to fix it.
Welcoming and friendly on the outside - immature and surface-level on the inside.
Management is always working on weekends and if they call you on your vacation or while you're sick, they expect you to answer. I know many people who were called into meetings on their vacation and CHRISTMAS. I know at least 4 people that had a burnout and had to take some serious time off to get a mental break.
Pay is okay and on time - but no extra benefits besides fruit and coffee.
Maybe the only good thing about this company is that everyone within their respective teams seem to be very close.
- Inappropriate behavior from upper-level people won't be taken seriously and if you talk to "HR" they will tell you to confront the inappropriate ones and tell them to stop or tell you, "we've told them so many times to stop talking to the female colleagues inappropriately but they just won't stop."
- When confronted with a complaint about his harsh communication style, he responded, "I'm _______ (an upper-management person), I'll say whatever I want."
- Please do not let yourself be mistreated because they have a "direct and open" feedback culture. If your gut is telling you their behavior is wrong (and it usually is), tell someone.
- Management can't decide on goals or a vision for the company and therefore get upset when people don't reach these invisible goals.
- "Why aren't you turning on your camera? You're not wearing anything?"
Nice office with fruit and coffee
-No communication between the departments
-Departments gossip about each other and can't seem to solve things as a team
- Finger pointing and blaming seems to be normal and described as "direct" and "open" communication. Don't fall for it.
- Meetings almost always go over time and most of them happen without agendas
Lol
A lot of freedom and trust from my team within my specific position.
So verdient kununu Geld.
