- Hire the superintendent instead of electing him/her. Stick to the policies in place and apply the rules evenly to everyone. Increase teacher salary, decrease administration salary. Hire the most qualified person. Back you teachers when they are right.
The children are great and so are most of my coworkers.
Teacher pay, nepotism. Assistant Principals make more than twice the teacher’s salary. Teachers stay in the classroom for 3 years and then try to become a principal (without the appropriate experience) because the pay is so low. The nepotism is also a problem. The school board members are able to conveniently get there family members administration jobs without going through the process of being chosen. It’s all about who you know around here.
