- More consistency throughout the company. Some departments tend to speak very little of other departments in regards to their practices and even the culture. The company is 1 and should be treated as 1 rather that departmentalized.
My department has been very welcoming and supportive of growth. I have had the opportunity to get to know my coworkers outside of work and we are a very tight-knit group. I am also taking the opportunity to further my education and career path by using the companies resources to become licensed. If I ever have a question or concern I know I can find someone that can help me come to a solution.
When posting for new positions, they do not notify the department first. I believe it should be announced that a position is open and those in that department should be the first to apply. Typically someone from outside of the company is hired and starts before the rest of the department is even notified that the position is open. It brings down employee moral, especially for those trying to advance.
