- Pay raises that increase with the cost of living. Health benefits are great, but too expensive ($1300 per month for a family of 3). There is a sense of not being able to trust district office personnel.
It is always a good thing when you can influence the lives of children and make an impact on those lives when those children might not get the support at home.
Too many meetings without pay. Expectations are to raise test scores while students aren't at grade level. Must wear a multitude of "hats" from teacher, counselor, police officer, psychologist, and parent yet still teach and be expected to have students make huge gains with state wide testing.
