Amazing company overall - Poor marketing department

The overall company atmosphere is amazing. In Munich, employees get together all thorough the day in the common area to share coffee, go to chat on the rooftop terrace, play intense Foosball games... Everyone comes from so many countries and you learn so much from talking and sharing beers with employees from different departments.
Kommunikation
The communication culture has improved a lot in the past years. The company has a very nice intranet to share pictures and news. We receive frequent update through All Hands meeting, regular updates from the management teams...
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Overall, I would say that the environment is good. There is a big mixture of nationalities and it makes it interesting to talk with coworkers from different horizons. However, in particular in the marketing department, I feel like there is an unhealthy competition between teams and colleagues. I feel like some relationships are fake because good relations with the good persons seem to get you further in your career than hard work.

Gleichberechtigung
All the highest positions in the company are occupied by men. In the marketing department, recognition for your work seems to come much much more easily if you are a man. Women seem to have to work much harder than men to have their hard-work acknowledged.

FlixBus is trying more and more initiatives for the environment but as a self-proclaimed green company, a little more could be expected.
