- Fxi, Inc.01.Aug. 2018
The company culture of FXI is positive but it has changed with various buy outs and has become far too pinpoint focused on money rather than the people who help FXI make that money.
Mixed. Some managers are supportive on some issues while others seem to support you only on popular causes.
Hit and miss. There are some people who are genuine and act in the best interest of the company and then there are a few who definitely have no issue tossing a co-worker under the bus. The latter behavior has become much more commonplace since the purchase of the company by a private equity firm.
No issues here. Micromanagement is not an issue at all at FXI.
Varies depending upon which department and location one works at. An area of improvement overall for the company but this is nothing different from a majority of other companies out there.
Could do better.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Seems an equal mix of people of different ages at all locations.
Karriere / Weiterbildung
Somewhat limited in some locations due to smaller plant size IF the person does not want to relocate. Company provides tuition reimbursement from 1st day of hire and offers frequent training. Openings come up fairly often so if one is willing to relocate then it's decent for career development.
Gehalt / Sozialleistungen
Pay will be far below market value.
Offices generally quiet and up to date. Factory environments are quiet and clean.
Umwelt- / Sozialbewusstsein
Involved in quite a few environmental events at several locations. Company emphasizes environmental programs and tries to improve on emissions and impact.
FXI does a good job of this for salaried/professional employees. Some jobs allow flex time, and PTO packages are pretty generous for leadership roles. Unfortunately the attendance policy for hourly employees at some locations is pretty draconian but otherwise it would be 5 stars.
Pretty much varies by location. In some communities FXI is viewed positively while in others it was viewed very negatively.
- Remember that treating people well also effects the bottom line. Learn to look beyond the next month's predicted sales when trying to make major business decisions; short sightedness is never a wise business practice. Spend more time 'in the trenches' to learn what is actually going on and listen to the people who are closest to the jobs.
Good development program w/ tuition reimbursement, work-life balance, co-workers were easy to work with, interesting product line.
Focus on C-suite employees rather than all employees, hyperfocus on bottom line, culture of fear after buyout, low pay, lack of formal onboarding.
