- I believe that certain departments feel overworked and under appreciated which can contribute to a low morale. With a job as difficult and stressful as this one, I think it is important that all employees feel emotionally and physically safe as well as feel supported from the leadership team of the agency. There are many highly educated and experienced employees working at this agency who can contribute to the success of the agency.
There are a lot of opportunities for professional development and off site training. Opportunities to get involved in committees regarding improvements in the agency. Everyday is a new day, working alongside residents with emotional and behavior struggles. I work with a spectrum population and have learned an immense amount of information about how to effectively interact with a child on the spectrum. I work closely with my colleagues in order to best manage a residential program on a daily basis. There is always opportunities to get promoted throughout the agency and to gain experience and growth.
I think the agency could improve on efforts to make a stronger connection between departments that make up the agency. With an improved communication between departments, I think there is a greater likelihood for the agency to improve. The agency is led by a great leadership team, but the efforts of this team should be communicated down to all levels of the agency.
