Arbeitsatmosphäre

The culture is quiet. Most people stay to their own departments and there isn't a whole lot of mingling between departments. The higher executives don't mingle much with those with lower status jobs but they do praise the work they do and let them know they have value.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Got a lot of push back on new ideas. There was always a reason we couldn't implement something. Got tired of suggesting and stopped altogether.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Team work was good for the most part. Lot's of work to be completed but some performed more work than others and it was a little lopsided.

Interessante Aufgaben

There was freedom to work independently but there was micromanaging of the work that was provided. Sometimes a review of work can be educational and sometimes a review is just a reason to bash someone.

Kommunikation

The Foundation was good about communicating changes and daily activities. Inside the Donor Compliance Department the communication would break down.

Gleichberechtigung

There are more male director of development officers than women. Travel may be a reason, but there were also more lower administration staff than men. You be the judge.

Karriere / Weiterbildung

Attended annual Professional Development trips.

Gehalt / Sozialleistungen

Pay can always be a little better. There are no bonuses, not many gifts to the employees, but they provide a Christmas (Holiday) Party and have random get-togethers. The Benefits are awesome! Pay schedule is once a month.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Clean nice environment to work in, however, the office has just been remodeled and everyone is working in small cubicles.

Umwelt- / Sozialbewusstsein

Recycling is a priority.

Work-Life-Balance

Whenever I needed to take time for one thing or another it was usually approved.

The goal of the Foundation is commendable and I was proud to be a part of the greater picture. Supporting students who are trying obtain an education and become something bigger is very rewarding in itself.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

  • Leadership was separate from the "workers" and it made it uncomfortable at times to approach them.
