Regularly all-hands meetings take place, an internal newsletter gets published, there are internal blogposts everybody can publish for sharing notable information or achievements and on top of that there are periodic knowledge sharing events like communities of practice days and and open space unconferences.

Very family friendly although one has to keep track of his own office hours. Personal circumstances and requirements are respected and even sabbaticals are easily negotiated. Vacation is usually granted immediately as long as the respective team is still able to operate.

Managers are always available for chatting and explaining their decisions. Often employees are involved for identifying the most promising next move. Agility and continuous improvements are being exercised in management, too, which sometimes creates more frequent changes than usual.

Arbeitsbedingungen
The company started with big open offices without any acoustic counter measures, too little air conditioning. But recently an initiative started to solve all the problems employees reported (resulting in e.g. some more solid walls, a lot more mobile walls, optimized seating so that people don't need to walk around all the time to collaborate and more...).
Computers are appropriate for the job, usually you can use as many monitors as you like, internet connectivity is pretty fast, and office network is reliable.

That's part of the company DNA, company is increasing engagement in this topic (job-bike, tree planting, fair trade or local products, sustainability workshops, ongoing CO2 footprint analysis and existing plan to get neutral, ...)
