Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

interesting people you meet, be ware of bosses trying to be chums with you though

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

everything ive said

Verbesserungsvorschläge

i feel like LS was designed to work this way from the beginning, lure talented people to do the work for you while yoy rob them the legal way and kick them out after 2 years RAISE your SALARIES !!!!

Arbeitsatmosphäre

ok if you make friends I guess. But the situation in my department was probably the worst and it got so much worse right before I left. Our superiors ruined it because of their control issues and behaving like toddlers

Kommunikation

all the time I felt like I was being spoken ato as if I wasnt very intelligent. The bosses took advantage of us being inexperienced all the time a Lot of pretty words like „we want to support you", „m doing the best for you" etc then bam, a week from now theyre threatening you with redundancy. Just very manipulative and not ok

Kollegenzusammenhalt

its very hard to make friends when people come and go so frequently. Everyone was so overworked in my department, and the bosses pittied us against each other though I did meet many nice people

Work-Life-Balance

AWFUL!! The working times are waay to long , even if its technically not allowed they „encouraged " you to do overtime and skip your break, before Corona it was always huffing and puffing whenever you needed to do home office while our two supervisors could „work" from home anytime they wanted, how funny they always chose a Friday, and went unresponsive and wouldn't answer our messages for hours on end and we could cleatly see they were NOT working.
oh and they gave us „„„ 1 “““ extra day off after we asked for it for MORE THAN A YEAR, they took it away not even 4 months later. But they could afford to purchasw GE didnt they?? could you be anymore tight fisted ????

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Horrible horrible bosses. Other departments like the pedagogical ori3nted ones. had darling supervisors who really cared about their colleagues and really helped them . all our supervisors did was gossip and watch people, and pretend to work then get all the credit for our work in meetings with the management
If you complained or questioned them they talked you down and got really aggro

Interessante Aufgaben

ctrl +c ctrl+v
their strategy is, make ppl work as if they were in the 1980s , really outdated systems and not invest in development, they wait until people are so fed up with working with aj excel file that crashes 10 times perhour that they come up with a different method then implant it as if the idea was theirs in the first place.

Gleichberechtigung

our supervisors were women but they had no skills,no leadership skills no maturity... they juat got along with the right people. There were deffinitely some creepy male colleagues.but whenever you took somethgn to HR they smiled at you and did nothing or setup a completely useless workshop

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

barely any older colleagues. I WONDER WHY??

Arbeitsbedingungen

seen worse but also seen better. it got really bad this year with the only ladies bathroom nearby being clogged for months,it absolutely STANK and it was completely unsanitary, ceililng collapsed on the 4th floor the nearby offices started gettin moldy, iso certified but cables all over the place and we got wa3ning emails whenever a safety inspection was coming ,never enough laptops for everyone so requesting homeoffice was a struggle.REFUSED to give us decent blinds, only the stick on variety that fell off after 3 minutes.or give tge rooms proper isolation so we would not roast alive in the summer months. they offer free fruit and filter water

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

recycling was a joke. at least we didnt work with many physical copies so we spared paper

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

if you come from a country where salaries are lower it might seem like a lot of money at first. well turns out its not if you know how expensive rent is in cologne.its only okay if you manage to make friends and have fun in your daily task but lately it was all about the mistreatment e and manipulation and telling us the department will disappear and we'll be fired or „relocated" but „ its not for sure ", even if they had raised our salary it would not be worth it

Image

like scrooge from a Christmas carol but with no happy Ending

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Shoulda done my masters while I worked there so i could feel i was doing something useful with my time

Arbeitgeber-Kommentar

Dear former colleague,

thank you for your review and your honest feedback.

We are sorry to hear that your experience with us was not as positive. We agree that we certainly have some potential to improve, for example when it comes to our employee’s development or to flexible working, but can ensure you that we already work on these topics.

Please know that we are always happy about constructive feedback, but unfortunately we feel that some of your points are rather destructive. We would like to address a few of them further:
First of all, we would like to highlight that our salaries are in accordance with other companies in the industry. They are constantly reviewed and adapted when necessary. There are several opportunities for promotions, such as becoming a Senior, or even changing departments to grow into another position, which often also results in an increase of salary. We are very proud of having multiple examples of employees starting in one department after university and developing into a position in a different department.

Regarding our Work-Life-Balance, we would like to mention that our working times consist of 40 hours per week, which is a standard working week in Germany. None of our employees are required to work overtime. If you felt forced to do so, please contact us via CorporateHR@learnship.com, so we can investigate this further. In addition, all of our employees have the opportunity to work from home, especially now during the Covid19 crisis.

Also, we do not understand your point about our office. As several other comments show, our office is a clean, save and open space. We have a lounge and several kitchens, in order for our employees to feel comfortable. There are several bathrooms and not only one, as you claim. In case something is broken, it is always repaired as soon as possible. Furthermore, we always make sure to be in accordance with safety regulations, not only in times of safety inspections.

We understand that you experienced some of your tasks as rather repetitive, but we will and already have automated a lot of processes and implemented many tools, which leaves the more interesting tasks for our employees. Also, we try to present a realistic view on everyday tasks already in job interviews, so employees know what to expect from the start.

A point, which we would like to further understand, is why you felt threatened with redundancy. There are no plans of laying off departments. We are using “Kurzarbeit” (reduced working hours) as a tool to get through the Corona crisis in order to prevent layoffs. Last but not least, you sound very dissatisfied with your supervisor. We do not have any records of complaints about supervisors and our leadership team is regularly trained and coached. Should you feel the urge to speak about this situation confidentially, please contact us.

We remain open for constructive feedback and further comments or remarks via CorporateHR@learnship.com.

Kind regards,
Your Corporate HR Team
