Dear Kununu Team,
I urge you not to remove this comment. Previous employees tried to forewarn newcomers about FoxInsights, where hopeful beginnings often lead to depressive exits. Your platform's purpose is to provide a safe space for honest company reviews, and this message reflects the truth. Please, refrain from deletion.
Here is the comment I wish someone had shared before my entry into this company:
FoxInsights lacks a cohesive company culture for several reasons. The management's disregard for its employees, coupled with pervasive pressure at various levels, has resulted in multiple waves of resignations. Despite claims of openness to change, the management maintains the same detrimental practices.
Team collaboration is virtually nonexistent, creating a caste system within the company. Some functions are considered sacred and untouchable, further diminishing coherence among teams.
The only department seemingly invested in fostering a positive culture is HR. However, their efforts are undermined as management fails to recognize that caring for employees involves more than just listening—action is essential.
In my personal experience, joining FoxInsights was a mistake. Unattainable sales goals, micromanaging, inhuman and tyrannical management, inflexible sales strategies, and daily pressures prompted many of us to seek an exit within a month of joining. Doubt my story? Check LinkedIn, contact former employees from different periods, and you'll uncover a consistent narrative of discontent.
As a former Sales Manager at FoxInsights, sharing my experience is crucial for those contemplating a career here, particularly in the Sales department. The sales targets at FoxInsights are set at unrealistically high levels, fostering an environment of constant stress and dissatisfaction, an issue most pronounced in the Sales department. Here, a culture of manipulative power struggles and intense micromanagement prevails, severely hindering individual initiative and creativity.
The turnover rate at FoxInsights is alarmingly high, reflecting significant leadership challenges. This issue affects various departments, but it's noteworthy that the Development team stands out positively due to its effective management and healthier work environment.
In strong contrast to the Development team, the Sales department suffers from numerous operational and strategic errors due to a combination of ignorance and poor management. There's an overemphasis on theoretical approaches in Sales, which often fails to translate into practical, effective strategies. This disconnect has led to a series of tactical mistakes in Sales, exacerbating the already challenging work environment. There have been suggestions that the more effective management style seen in the Development team should be a model for the entire company. Some believe that certain individuals in the higher management would be better suited to roles like Controlling, where their skill sets might be more appropriate, rather than leading people.
The resignation of half of the sales team, as a form of protest, is a testament to these issues, yet this significant gesture has not prompted a noticeable change in management's approach or policies.
The company's handling of negative feedback, such as reviews on platforms like Kununu, is immature and dismissive. This undermines trust and points to a lack of genuine openness and accountability.
Moreover, the company frequently makes promises that are either forgotten or distorted later on, highlighting the necessity of getting commitments in writing. The departure of long-term employees further emphasizes the absence of a clear vision and strategy.
Given these circumstances, anyone considering a role at FoxInsights, particularly in Sales, should be aware of these challenges. While the Development team operates within a more stable and positive environment, the overall company culture, especially in Sales, is fraught with issues that could significantly impact one's career and personal well-being. It's advisable for potential candidates to thoroughly assess not just their specific role but also the broader organizational culture and management practices at FoxInsights.
If you want to grow, you’ll definitely get the opportunity at FoxInsights.
The current culture initiatives look very promising, and have taken plenty of feedback from (ex) employees on to improve areas of all sort. FoxInsights is proactively working to change their culture and enable an even greater feedback culture.
As a former employee in the Sales team, I was able to experience 2 promotions in just over 2 years, initiated in particular directly by the Head of Sales. At FoxInsights your personal potential and development is seen and initiated in all ways. A very close and direct communication with the Head of Sales, who wants to promote her team and her employees. Extremely appreciative and open and honest feedback culture, e.g. lived through regular one-on-ones meetings - and this every week! This does not happen in every company/team, that the Head of Sales takes extensive (at least 30 minutes) and regular time for the employees. In case of difficulties/challenges, you will brainstorm together with your direct supervisor to find solutions - employees are not left alone.
The sales targets are ambitious, which is absolutely essential in a sales job in order to have a motivated and well-performing sales team. In addition to the quantitative targets, the qualitative development is also evaluated and a general team target is set, in which the entire sales team participates. In my opinion a fair target agreement for a sales job!
As a former Sales Manager at FoxInsights, I strongly advise against taking a position here. The sales targets set are unrealistically high, creating a constant atmosphere of pressure and frustration within the team. The leadership in my department not only engaged in complex power plays but also practiced intense micromanagement, effectively stifling any initiative. As a result, many skilled employees have resigned, and turnover is extremely high.Promises were aplenty, particularly during the interview process and in team meetings, but there's nothing behind them. Opportunities for advancement are almost nonexistent, and there's zero recognition for good work.I strongly recommend against considering employment here unless you're looking to jeopardize both your career and well-being.
