The new rule allowing 60% of remote work is a good compromise. In general my manager is making sure we all have a good work life balance and is helping us prioritize, which can be a challenge since our organization is changing fast.

It is the EMEA headquarters, that brings a lot of diverse and interesting tasks.
Gleichberechtigung
In general Olympus could be more diverse and I hope that will improve. In particular in the top management there is almost no diversity, even if those colleagues are in general open minded, which is at least as important as being "diverse" themselves. I think everyone feels welcome and integrated. In general I think the company is family-friendly.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
In general I feel everyone is fairly and humanly treated, which includes the older colleagues. One of my colleagues who is close to retirement recently got promoted to a role he loves.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The new offices are amazing, and much more cozy than they looked on the pictures, the equipment is very high quality (of course with the basics like height adjustable desks). I love going there in spite of the commuting time. I like that it is central and easily accessible with the Sbahn. I also like that I am not forced to come everyday.
Wellbeing seems quite important for Olympus. Additionally to the usual benefits there is good quality and free beverages and fruits, and a subsidized fitness center in the building. The canteen is also very good and subsidized by the company. The IT equipments are quite good, with modern lightweight laptops which is convenient since I carry my laptop everytime I go to the office.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Olympus is quite involved and supporting in environmental and social initiatives. Unfortunately as mentioned earlier communication is not a strength, and I often notice I don't always know everything about what Olympus is doing in that field and what options are available to participate.
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
I think salaries are rather above average. There are a lot of additional benefits, like a great pension scheme or reimbursed HVV card, but as already mentioned due to lack of communication I personnally don't have the overview about all benefits available, and I hear about them by coincidence (usually it's a great surprise though, except when I just made an investment and learn right after that it could have been subsidized).

I think the elements for a good image are there but lack visibility due to poor communication. Of course it feels good to work in the healthcare sector with such a noble purpose, I am always proud to say I work for Olympus and explain what we are doing.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There are plenty of development opportunities. Since a few months we have access to the LinkedIn learning portal and we are encouraged by the management to use it, during the working time. The vacancies are also communicated internally and there are often internal promotions.
