Possibilities to practice own skills, expand knowledge, and a fundamental trust and space given to employees which was shown by the employer without unnecessary micro managing.

Individual as well as group Jourfixes can be conducted to keep the synergy across employees.
Sharing of project updates on a regular basis would build up the basis for new colleagues to tackle their own clients better.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The company has a really welcoming and family-like atmosphere, especially at the community days events. Each employee is paid attention to, and that is really impressive how exchange of ideas from people with different competencies is facilitated very well by the company.

Work-Life-Balance

I came to know I was pregnant as soon as joining the company, and both my supervisor and the administrative department supported me really well in the process. After my Probezeit, I worked for a couple of more months with the client, went on Mutterschutz and Elternzeit and joined back to work in 6 months, when I was ready to take up responsibilities again, and I am really happy with the way I was able to actively contribute whenever I was ready to do so. The company really helped in all administrative work, and handled my requests for changes very smoothly and efficiently. My client was also understanding, and by establishing a good relationship with the team in a short span of time, I was able to work from home and take care of my baby at the same time, which both Opitz Consulting and the client supported whole heartedly.

In addition, topics such as vacations are openly and clearly discussed helping us plan in advance.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

My interaction with my direct supervisor was really excellent. Not only were my queries regularly discussed and addressed, possibilities for personal and work quality development were constantly proposed and implemented very quickly.

Although I have a good command of German, whenever I needed to, my supervisor was not extremely critical of my German knowledge, and supported me in several ways on that front too.

I was also impressed to be able to interact with the CEO's and the Geschäftsführung team during the Welcome Days at Gummersbach,as well as the open discussion nature exhibited during quarterly community events.

Interessante Aufgaben

In addition to the core projects, one can participate in technical conferences, contribute to the company blog, attend talks and take up trainings. The whole company has a very people-centric culture and strives to keep its employees engaged and happy.

Gleichberechtigung

As mentioned earlier, very happy with the way I could deal with motherhood and handling the new job at the same time.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

I could discuss some of my ideas from my doctoral thesis and contribute to specific competence units, which were nicely welcomed by the company.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Happy with the fixed and variable salary model, which leaves a bit of surprise element each month :)

Very happy with the possibilities for further training - technical as well as soft skills programs such as change facilitation and time management, the art of using nice charts and diagrams to communicate, and other courses to choose from.
