I was invited for an interview with P&G International Trading GmbH. As I am coming outside of Berlin it took my time, money and energy to make it possible. Firstly when I was there approaching the office, I was unexpectedly called the last second and asked to postpone the interview for an hour... So, I just ended up waiting for an hour by their doors. When finally I got to meet the interviewer and describe my professional background the interviewer told me shortly that they have already found someone else who has more appropriate profile and that they already signed an employment contract with them. After screening my application for two more seconds he added that I am not appropriate for the job because I have my education in unrelated field and that I have to go elsewhere searching for a job because they are not the proper organization for me. Why to make someone make all the way to Berlin if you have already found someone for the position? I have sent my resume with detailed information on my professional background and education incl. Diplomas long before the interview. It´s not like they did not have information on it to evaluate if I am a proper candidate. I think this is just really unprofessional to make someone invest their time just because the responsible people had no a minute to screen the application documents. Besides that, the interview was taken by a sales manager and not by HR, in a really unprofessional manner, to start with, he could not either properly introduce himself or the company, followed by inappropriate comments on my education and my former employer. Based on the experience I had there I would not want to work there anyway. So for those who are applying from far away I would not recommend to invest your time into this. Neither they cover your expenses nor do they treat you in a professional way.
