No perspective, really no.
Micro-management and low trust level.
"Enabler of the energy transition" by digitization is a joke. This company can not even digitize itself.
No chance to improve technical skills.

Improve transparency.
Develop a real strategy.
Let your experts (not only tech) decide what to do and stop micromanaging.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

My team consists of awesome people. Nowadays the atmosphere is characterized by unclear future of my team and my position. Since there is no transparency from top-level management, this is clearly effecting the motivation of team members.

Kommunikation

This is really bad. Our people & culture team is working hard to improve communication culture. The topics of communication are absolutely irrelevant for me and my job. Top-management is not communicating the important information like what is our strategy, what are the goals we want to achieve etc. ... it is mostly only bla bla.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

In my team very good. In cooporation with other responsibities like product management & consulting rather average. The company has lost its former strength of being ONE team.

Work-Life-Balance

That is quite good from my perspective. I can schedule my work on my own authority. There is not much pressure. Honestly, sometimes I wish with a little more "pressure" to feel like I am contributing to a functioning business.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

My lead is a great person and does everything in his power. However, he seems to have limited sphere of influence. Many decisions are done in higher-level management. There is no transparency in what is possible and statements tend to change on a quarterly basis. A lot of micro-managing from top- and middle-management is happening causing dissatisfaction and reduction of mutual trust.

Interessante Aufgaben

No. I am expected to do my work exactly as communicated. My skills and experiences are irrelevant, the tech-stack is the opposite of modern. As a result of micro-management the software is completely broken and management is upset that development is very sluggish and stability is not sufficient. Guys, this is exactly what is happening, when you decide what to do and how to do it and do not trust the tech-experts.

Gleichberechtigung

The middle- to top-management is characterized almost exclusively by male personnel. On team lead level, however, few female leaders exist.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

There are only few "older" employees. I think the focusing on "culture fit" including the will to be available anytime and the I-tell-you-what-to-do mentality does not meet the requirements of older, experienced, people.

Arbeitsbedingungen

In first place, working material much be cheap. Only few "standard tools" are available easing your life, professional tools are in short supply and initiatives are explained away with the statement of budget shortage. The office in Berlin is nice, however, it is quite loud. Quite nice are the after-work-events, where some people are investing a lot of the effort into.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Regarding environmental awareness, there is a lot greenwashing happing, the company continuously tries to acquire certificates attesting this but real actions are not done.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Was quite good in the past, but in times of budget shortage, salary raise promises made last year can not be done this year. Otherwise there are no social add-ones available, vacation days can not be negotiated, which is a no-go in my opinion. The company takes part in bike-leasing.

External talk good about the company. Internally, the image is suffering from broken promisses, unclear and intransparent communication. I simply cannot recommend this company to my network and so it is not surprising, that the company has problems hiring high-quality personnel.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Last year there have been some initiatives. This year so far no opportunity the develop skills further.
