Overtime is almost a required part of this job and the staff are pitted against each other in such a way that encourages them to hate one another instead of working together.
Management does not care about their employees at all and will routinely put them in situations that were destined to fail. They will not back them up, they will not come to their aide, and they will typically blame their employee before they blame the client.
Teamwork is present in the most forced of ways.
You will be forced to work independently for 90% of your time here.
Internal communication is forced in a sense that you do it as a last resort for help.
Karriere / Weiterbildung
The company wanted to advance my career, but gave me no clear defined path to grow. They gave me arbitrary open ended goals with no defined paths and expected me to just complete them as is. There is no way to move up in this company.
Gehalt / Sozialleistungen
I worked alongside other team members completing the same level of work, exact same responsibilities, and more and was the lowest paid of them all. When I requested a raise, they refused to pay me more and forced me to either take on more projects or quit. Management will not pay you adequately here as they use all the money for their salary's and bonuses. Do NOT expect equal pay here at all.
Office can go from being rather empty to packed and people fighting for peace and quiet / space. Temperature / lighting / etc are adequate.
Overtime is a required part of your job and can interfere with your life in the worst of ways. You are expected to take last minutes projects and work as if it were just something you signed up for
Sales men regularly sold bad or overpriced equipment and overcharged for it, forcing the service side of the company to pick up the pieces as the sales people left us in the dust. I was routinely embarrassed to admit that they did not know what they were talking about and that I would direct them in sales.
- Management needs to go through a purge to find more competent individuals. Sales needs to be re-trained entirely on how to sell as they are not inherently bad at their job, just bad at selling technology. Work culture needs to adjust to not be so toxic to each other and overtime needs to be a last resort, not the first plan.
Their PTO policy is exemplary and benefits (health care, vision, dental, 401k) were plentiful.
The pay for what I was doing for this company was abysmal. I had a college degree and multiple certifications versus employees in my same department who had none of these and were paid MUCH higher than me. The work culture, over time, and sales department were all toxic.
