Most of the people we hire don't stay for more than a few weeks, both for their own lack of desire to work, and because the company pays badly and treats its employees like mindless drones.
Only one or 2 of the managers properly communicate their goals for closing the building, and those 2 only close 2 nights a week. Most of the time during closing the only thing being done is the closing managers shouting at everyone telling them to hurry, and then turning back to their paperwork.
If you can get along with the children we hire, and know what needs to be done throughout the day, than surprisingly some of them will actually work pretty well with you.
Most of the time you are counted on to know what you are doing, but it is far from a blessing, since any mistake you make, unless you have been working there for less than a week, is blown out of proportion.
Most of the time nothing gets done without a manager telling them to do it, and anyone higher up than an assistant manager doesn't care about the employees enough to treat them with any respect.
Most of our store managers are woman, although there isn't much room for advancement beyond closing manager.

We don't hire many old people, and any we did would likely be put on for the morning staff.

Almost nobody advances to be a manager, and if they do they never go above closing manager.
Gehalt / Sozialleistungen
While the work isn't difficult, you can only get a .25 cent raise every 6 months, so if you work there for very long you quickly outgrow your pay.
We have pretty much everything we need, although it is all either old and breaking down, or pretty standard. Also unless someone is working either between shifts (12-8) and for 8 hours or more, than you don't get a break.

There is no recycling, we throw everything away, produce loads of smoke, and go through tons of meat and potatoes every day.
Working full-time in the morning is the only way to have any kind of family life. Otherwise you won't be getting home until 10 at night or later.
Why would anyone be?
- Unless either the pay is increased, or 9-5 workers get breaks, than the turnover rate will never improve.
The job is easy, and you can get free drinks, and occasionally snacks while working. Also you get a free meal after working 8 hours in a day, but not a break.
You only get breaks if you either work more than 8 hours (a double shift) or are working 8 hours or more between shifts (12-8/close). The pay is terrible. Most of the customers are elderly and cranky. Management treats workers like mindless drones.
