Arbeitsatmosphäre
The atmosphere is very pleasant. There is no pressure from 'above' as well as no over hours.
Deadlines are interpreted as plans. If they are not met, there won't be any crunch time, but instead analyzed how to get a better estimate next time.
Kommunikation
There are monthly statistics regarding sales and subscriptions. In the annual meeting will be a more in depths look at finances with insights into the company strategy for the future.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
There is a lot of emphasis on collaboration and working together as a team. Colleagues help each other and have friendly relations. Also, friendships emerge, but nothing is enforced.
Work-Life-Balance
The working hours are flexible in principle. But everything needs to be agreed within your team, since there are meetings where everyone is expected. Meetings generally happen between 9:30 and 16:00.
As mentioned, there are no over hours. There are also options for reduced working times.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Hierarchies are very flat, so it's hard to answer. Nearly all decisions which affects your work, will be reached via a discussion with all responsible and interested people.
Interessante Aufgaben
The product itself is not super interesting, but the technical challenges are. There is a broad spectrum of things happening like machine learning, scalable and resilient service infrastructure, etc. And if you are interested in specific topics, opportunities will be created for you to work there.
Gleichberechtigung
The amount of women in development is higher than in my (one) other experience, but still less than 50%. I have not witnessed a situation where gender mattered, but this is of course only my subjective experience.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
I have not witnessed bias against older colleagues in the application process or in daily work.
Arbeitsbedingungen
All developers are equipped with laptops which are more than capable for daily work. Also in the home office you have the opportunity to take hardware and furniture along. Standing desks as a standard would be nice.

Individuals take action and people have open ears for ideas. But there is no organizational effort in the direction.

There are regular talks regarding career development. You are encouraged to join conferences and get specialized books or courses. If you want to get into a certain topic more, usually an opportunity will be found or created to allow you to get you involved there.

If there is one thing people know about the company in the region, then it is the good working conditions. I haven't heard negative things yet.
