the product market fit is perfect and this makes it easy to sell the product.

trying to sell an idea internally that is not aligned with the actual goal of the company. eg quick IPO vs pension gap


praise existing employees based on their performance.


the overall vibe is rather negative, however , personal relationship with colleagues are positive. Nevertheless, private conversations with colleagues are always reflect negative feelings towards the company culture, no space to grow, management is focusing on hiring "superstars", not trusting existing employees, micro management and sudden firings are all on the menu.


no one has any idea of who is responsible for what. zero documentations makes it impossible to look up information. most of the questions are asked repeatedly and the answers may differ depending on personal knowledge of the colleague regarding the product or status of a service and so on.


the colleagues that are on the same level are generally nice and you can definitely have a good laugh with them. the management is completely separated and have close to no personal connection to the rest of the employees.


depending on the department, some people have nothing to do because they are being blocked for months, while others work 24/7. In general, something you have to deliver, sometimes you can relax.


multiple managers, with different opinions, most of them are overly stressed. The stakes are high, which is understandable if they getting by default virtual share options that will worth a fortune within 2-3 years. Unfortunately, most of the managers lack leadership skills.

very limited possibility for taking risk, task are repetitive, mostly manual that could be done by a monkey. no real challenge, no real struggle. as an employee, you mostly have to keep the machine running rather than taking the driver seat. 100% top-down decisions.


you either part of the management or you don't matter. you either from a bir star firm or your past is boring. new joiners are introduced based on their past companies as a reference not based on what they personally achieved. we have mister amazon, mister airbnb and mister netflix abroad. this is how we got to know them for example.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

the management and the team both are openly making fun of people in the industry above 40 and calling them old-school. not sure, how would you feel about hearing this?


home office equipment has been proved with limitations. extra monitors are provided as far as I know. no remuneration for other home equipment such as desk or chair offered.


the management is worried about the pension gap so we launched crypto. they are worried about inequality so they raised 900 million investment to conquer europe and become a publicly traded company within 3 years.


you don't get company shares by default but you can exchange your own salary and buy-in. I won't call this a bonus, but it's an option.


If you want to work for the next N26, this is your place! This product will be known Europe-wide and you can have the (ex Trade Republic) patch on your CV. You have to understand that the company goal is to become the #1 investing product and not focusing on pampering employees. Fair point, not communicated well.


seems like a dead end. I don't recall hearing any promotions so far. they have the tendency to hire managers externally rather promoting existing employees. I would say it makes sense to join either as a junior/intern or as a team lead and above and get the perks from day zero.
