Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

the product

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

how employees are treated and the atmosphere in general that is very miserable. High fluctuation – no one knows who is responsible for anything. Colleagues change every week.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Put money and trainings into your remaining existing employees before they all leave too. I don't know anyone who is happy atm. Otherwise we can shut down even though it is a great product.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

There was one review that was deleted, unfortunately. This deleted review from 1 month ago got it very right...He/ she also mentioned (and I completely agree with it) that the vast majority of good reviews are all coming from the HR department itself and are fake.
To get a better working atmosphere, the EPB (Employee Participation Board) was introduced a few months ago. This for less altruistic reasons than the circumstance that the management wanted to avoid the establishment of a works council. Unfortunately, the EPB has no rights at all as HR and the management have the last word. So nothing really changed since then. Just to name some matters where a real work council would have been really helpful:
- Employees wanted salaries to be adjusted as there are significant differences. Nothing has happened, although a new financial round has been closed
- Many employees have not been brought out of 100% short-time work although "thousands" of new jobs have been advertised (apparently severance payments were made made for 100%short-time-workers in order to opt out of their job and to terminate voluntarily)
- No workshops or trainings at all (only from employee to employee)

Kommunikation

No transparency at all. Communication is not honest. Questions are collected before the All Hands, but they are sorted out. Unpleasant questions that do not put managers and/ or decisions in a good light are not answered.

Work-Life-Balance

Even though it is written on our old merch, for many employees there is no work-life-balance at all. Overtime is ("of course") part of job and not even paid for.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Depends on the line manager

Arbeitsbedingungen

Great Headquarter in Berlin (can’t speak for all other offices). But no ergonomic desks at all, although all desks were newly made. Fruit baskets and fresh drinks, which are advertised in the job descriptions, have not been available for 1,5 years. There are cereals, water and coffee – that’s it. Sometimes you find some leftover bananas on the counter.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

Outwardly, we want to be the environmentally conscious company, but as soon as we have to pay more for it (as it’s more expensive to be green), we’re out. Environmentalism is also very fake.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Below average and high salary gaps even within the teams. No effort is made to have equal salary standards. Money is put into new employees rather than incentivizing the old ones who have already proven themselves. No other benefits apart one membership (but be aware, this comes before tax).

No benefits at all!

In the job description you find the following "benefit" (as long as the won't delete it now): "Many additional perks including: choice of computer/ technology, dog friendly workplace, fully equipped kitchens with healthy snacks & beverages, employee referral bonuses, and more"...

In my opinion, these are all natural things. The healthy snacks don't exist, we only have cereals with a lot of sugar (as I already mentioned). Is water, coffee and a dog friendly workplace an additional perk? Don't know what they mean with "and many more" as there is nothing more to say.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

What's that? Doesn't exist. For Head Of's and Team Leads only.
