L-Paket Urban Sports Mitgliedschaft, Remote Work, nette Kollegen
Eigene Zeiteinteilung durch Remote Work.
Ausstattung ok.
Ok. Kooperationen mit interessanten Firmen
* free USC L membership
* 4 months of workation in EU countries
* good work-life-balance
* lack of communication, lies, lack of transparency
* nepotism
* big promises, no action
* leadership is very weak and lacks basic people-competencies
* lack of safety: often feeling that you could be laid-off in the next round
* constant changes in teams and reconstructions, introducing new tools and processes without properly testing the ones that were just established
* no ability to take honest and constructive criticism (they say they value it, but once you do it, you are being treated differently)
My best advice to you: focus and start really caring about your existing, loyal employees. There are a number of people that are +5 years with you, and they helped you build this company up. They are not getting appreciated enough, not to mention regular raises! In the current economy it is a basic decency. I know companies hate to hear their employees would like more money, but hey: unfortunately you need to pay us in the exchange for our time and skills ;).
Well, image seems to be great, but only to the outside. There is so much effort put in the appearance, design of every single little thing, regularly revamping company values, but there is no actual culture. It's really ridiculous. They really just give us new hoodies every year instead of real career opportunities and development. “Mehr Schein als Sein…”
This worked very well, at least in my department. If you are good, you are not being micromanaged, and you can basically execute on your own timeline. There is no problem with doing sports during working hours or running errands if needed. There are core working hours between 10-16 when you have to be available, the rest is up to you.
No learning budget. You are not being encouraged to learn or to take leaps. They rather hire someone external and completely new rather than giving a chance to existing employees who are eager to learn.
Definitely below the market average. No salary reviews or raises for many years. Constantly no budget. They are happy to give you a new title and more responsibilities, but not more money. They actually prefer to do the whole hiring and onboarding process (which costs 3 salaries on average) instead of giving a decent raise. I met one Team Lead with around 10 people in the team who was earning 37k. This is not even junior salary anymore. Very embarrassing.
Rather low… there are groups and teams that keep together and bash other groups behind their backs. There are some good people in the company, but it's rare. A lot of people are unfortunately dishonest, and I have been warned many times to think carefully about what I am telling to whom. Team spirit is also not really fostered, there are no global events (so that company can come together) and rarely anyone participates on local level.
We do not really have older colleagues, so I cannot say anything here.
I would say very sneaky and non-transparent. C-Level management seemed very far and not approachable. Decisions are being made top-bottom in 90% of the cases. They collect feedback and want to make it seems like they involved us, but in the end they make decisions in their own circle. I haven't met a single inspiring, innovative leader there. So many of them lack actually empathy and communication skills, it's baffling to me. Your manager only has their own back, but never yours. They don't want you to grow and shine, they will often take credit of your work for themselves.
The offices are okay, positioned very centrally, tech stack is also fine. You are allowed to take additional screens home, you can choose between MacBook and Dell.
VERY bad communication. Lack of transparency on important decisions. Lack of communication about vision. No clear goals. Fostering gossip and 'he said, she said' culture. Big promises over and over again, but no action. People are leaving suddenly and there is no communication / transparency as to why. Higher level management communicates to you through 3 other people (instead of directly). Many people lack basic written communication skills, making collaboration very draining. Passive-aggressive communication between colleagues, as if they would like to make you feel you are stupider.
I would say rather low. I know for a fact (surprise, employees talk to each other!) there is a big gender pay gap. It has been postponed for over 2 years to make it transparent and actually present the numbers. I wonder why.
Tasks focus on 'putting out the fires', because there are so many in this company. There is always something that is not working, a rule that needs to be changed, a condition that needs to be adjusted, so everyone is busy doing that. There is little room for innovation and actually moving the company forward, because everyone is fixing mistakes from the past. Apart from that, of course, almost everything is being done for investors. They dictate the rules and priorities. No proper goal setting frameworks, after many years they still don't understand how OKRs work.
Pay better!
Just gets worse and worse
Its well known by now how badly employees are being treated
If you want to make career, don‘t go to usc
Biggest joke ever. „once we have the investment round“… new money came, but also new employees instead of rewarding the old ones
Cant think of one initiative
Empty office, so, no atmosphere
Male colleagues are being prefered
Pay decent salary which correlates with todays economy and is competitive to other companies
Due to many changes happening constantly; there is always intense stress and pressure
I believe in the last years the image has worsen as the company has been concentrating on surviving meanwhile forgetting the people leading to it
Flexible with Homeoffice and understanding with special requests
High promises low execution
Underpaid. A lot of promises are given but it’s promises with no content
Colleagues on the same level are amazing, however team leads etc. do not seem to have a pure intention with the growth of their team
No complains
Understanding however, promotions seem to be given to “friends” and not the capable ones
Great office
Transparent for most things, however crucial information is only shared last minute which raises tension
No complains
Little space for growth, tasks are repetitive

Almost everything

Fast alles
They should reconsider their philosophy towards their employees and acknowledge their value. They should also be more conscious when strategizing and making decisions about what to do next and how to do it. The company tries to do many things at the same time and by that, not properly.
Senior management seems also to blame employees for their own wrong decisions and often assign tasks with unrealistic or unattainable objectives.
/
The atmosphere is of tension and stress, lack of cohesion between the colleagues or departments and very low motivation.
/
There is an overall acknowledgement within the employees that the company is a mess
/
It is not complicated to find a balance.
/
Very little opportunity to progress. Often with the excuse of "no budget"
/
Very deficient compared with other similar companies and industries.
/
I have not perceived a single positive initiative in this regards.
/
Only a few people, teams or departments feel like strong collectives. Across the whole organisation there is no feeling of a team or of togetherness.
/
Senior managers behave like a cartel, considerably detached from their employees and team members. There is little feeling the managers care for their employees.
/
Cool office but mostly empty
/
Cooles Büro, aber meist leer
There is poor and intransparent communication; objectives are weakly and abstractly communicated and many things are hidden from the employees.
/
Some of the tasks and challenges are indeed interesting but one has little opportunity to properly invest time and energy on them.
/
start up like vibe still exists with gatherings or small (kitchen) parties
i found salaries under average
zero opportunities for promotions (almost no people between C level and staff). zero budget for trainings
except leadership - they even fight among each other to collect reasons to manage each other out
this is / was the worst part. unethical behavior like secret chats againts people, screaming and threatening employees
structure and events like All Hands are considered important and are well prepared and executed, but honesty and trasparency are not.
Almost everything. But above all the great team spirit and the product itself.
Going to the office almost felt like coming home. The reward goes undoubtedly to the amazing office management team. The atmosphere has been always very casual, relaxed and friendly.
Great! As said above: In my opinion they are doing what they preach.
I mean, they are selling work-life-balance. The company is really doing what they are preach. Homeoffice, joined sport offers, after work events (on 100 percent voluntary basis, never felt pressure on taking part) and of course the use of the product, the membership. Simply outstanding.
There are offers like language classes, special workshops for future leaders and they are working on more offers and chances for their employees to improve. Keep on going!
For me as a working student absolutely fair. Just do not forget about your "frontliners" who are so to say the voice of the company.
Doing their best! Always space to improve but all in all on a very good way.
Nothing more to say than amazingly strong and appreciative.
On average, the team is very young, but I did not get the impression that older people are unwanted. The age average is probably more due to the product, the setting and the bubble.
Absolutely amazing. Those few sentence here can not describe how great the team work and the leadership of my team lead has been.
As said above, amazing. Great office space, amazing office management, fresh food, snacks, coffee, drinks. I really got spoiled. The breakfast was always one of a kind and I'm so sad that I'm missing the Christmas season when they always had the best Apple Crumble in the world
Everyone was trying their best and thats what counts in my eyes. Communication improved steadily also due to the position created for this purpose. The employee in charge did an incredibly great job and is working to constantly improve communication throughout the company. The communication in my team was great. Open, honest, a true space where mistakes were handled as experiences and no one hid anything.
From my perspective I can tell that I had the impression that everyone got treated by their perfomance and not by their sexuality, gender or background.
100%
The company culture in general is very uplifting and enthusiastic. People are very nice and there is complete transparency in terms of decisions. There are hierarchies but it feels like it's a flat hierarchy workplace. Work-life balance is good, and you feel the impact of your work everyday.
Apart from the absence of some financial incentives, USC is a great company to work at.
Give performance based bonuses, travel allowances/monthly ticket.
Hustle-Culture & unterbesetzte Teams
Bitte investiert mehr in die Mitarbeiter. Weiterbildungen, Development, wettbewerbsfähige Benefits.
So verdient kununu Geld.
