Toxic work environment, be careful of what you wish
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The compensation is exactly what I looked for, but the work environment just made me change my mind about what's really important in life
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
The systems UX, code quality, spiteful colleagues
Verbesserungsvorschläge
I don't even know where to start from.... just push the reset button and cut at least half of the bureaucracy
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Worst and most stressful work environment I ever had. Very unmotivated colleagues, no integration at all, very bad IT practices
Kommunikation
First work day: 1400 emails at my inbox in..... OUTLOOK
Seriously??
Kollegenzusammenhalt
There was no team. Only a bunch of dudes sitting close to each other. Rarely somebody had will to help, the impression was "it's your problem, not mine". But there are quite often team events.
Work-Life-Balance
There's so much overhead from communication, that if you want to achieve something for the day, it needs at least 30 hours.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Very weak manager performance, passive and not engaging
Interessante Aufgaben
The tasks were fine, but the code quality was the sketch from hell. They reinvent the wheel building their own tooling, but with worse performance and UX. And guess who has to maintain that
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
The older colleagues were already unmotivated and didn't care about what they were doing or where it was going, neither for the quality.
Arbeitsbedingungen
Quite decorated office, but not really functional. Just returned furniture put together. Not a cozy environment, bunches of people in the same room with very noisy environment. Also, an office without windows, are you kidding me?
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
There's only a simple "we do some charity" thing, but just to look cool
Gehalt/Sozialleistungen
The compensation was excellent. A good salary with an amazing shares bonus, with team event every two months and a few benefits like gym discount and pre-made meal packs (claimed to be fit/healthy but not really). That's a big win and super attractive, but after my life became hell coming home depressed every single day for a month, I decided it was not really worth
Image
Funny how my colleagues used to complain so much about the systems and quality, but still keep going on and faking it when superiors asked about. Maybe that explains a lot about the team atmosphere
Karriere/Weiterbildung
The company is growing and pumping a lot of money on its European division to expand fast, so if you got the skills you might step up pretty easy
