  • End the practice of creating policies to address an incident. Include rank and file staff in decisions. Exclude people with no knowledge of the environment from making decisions about modifications. Reduce the workload and increase the staffing level. Purchase proper chairs for staff to sit in. Conduct a study to determine the level of comfort of staff in doing their job and design training about the results. STOP doing block training! Block training allows the employer to say the training was given but study after study shows that block training has the lowest knowledge training of any training method. Empower supervisions to solve problems and stop trying to solve problems with disciplinary action. Encourage employees to develop more efficient and safer ways of getting tasks done.
