Zizoo
Bewertung

Dodgy company with small growth and chaotic policies

Arbeitsatmosphäre

Micromanagement, verbal abuse and unpaid forced overtime are some of the highlights of the working environment

Kommunikation

Terrible communication structure, its quite expected from a startup but the company has been over 5 years in the market

Kollegenzusammenhalt

I have to say so far I have met great people at this companu

Work-Life-Balance

We were informed that “everyone” will be in Kurzarbeit, but we will continue to work 100 percent of the time with reduced pay.
Nevertheless they continue to hire aggressively and new employees are not in kurzarbeit. Management is nothing more than an incompetent group of friends slowly skimming investors dry

Thank you for your feedback.

I follow the reviews on Kununu personally and I wanted to respond as what you describe is not a reflection of how we are as a company and I’m sorry to see this has been your experience. I would love to learn more about your specific situation - feel free to get in touch so I can better understand your feedback.

I’m glad to hear you’ve enjoyed the company of colleagues. I do agree that we have a great team that I’m very proud to be a part of. Regarding your point on communication: I agree we can always do better and this is something we’re taking very seriously and improving on each week. It’s incredibly important for the team to be well-informed and aware of what is going on in the business and industry. This is why we send a daily update with all our business metrics as well as host the weekly team meetings so the co-founders and the departments can give us updates on what’s happening and what the priorities are. If you feel this can be done better or differently, I’m always open to suggestions.

Regarding the communication of KU specifically - back in April, we had to take the hard decision to put the entire team, including management, on Kurzarbeit in order to keep everyone’s jobs and face the uncertainties in the travel market together. Unlike other companies, especially in the travel space, we didn’t let go of team members to save costs and that was our main priority. We kept every one of our team members. I understand your frustration with KU but I also ask for your understanding in that it was a necessary measure - one that we are all lucky to have at our disposal in Germany, unlike other countries. We communicated a Kurzarbeit easing-out plan dependent on our company performance which would allow us to ease it out in a financially sense-making way. We’ve made the deadlines and details for KU clear and work closely with an employment lawyer to help us - but if this has not been the case for you, again, I ask you to get in touch and I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you have for your specific case or on the topic in general.

Kind regards,

Alex Corbin, Head of HR
