Suggestions for improvement
- Higher standards in hiring, seriously a couple girls fought outside my training room and they still got to keep their jobs. Really utilize peoples education and experience. Actually enforce the dress code it doesn't have to be high school level but I literally saw someone in the shortest shorts I've ever seen in all my days; a potential client would not want to see that.
What I like about the company
The large amount of people in the company gives you opportunities to make decent work friends. They seem very eager to give people opportunities to move to different departments and discover what they really want to do. Some departments have a better company culture than others so it really depends which LOB you work for. The training was 2 weeks so I didn't feel like I wasn't educated before I was expected to take calls. Everyone in training is really supportive and try to help you feel comfortable.
What I dislike about the company
I disapprove of the mass hiring process I think it causes some people with experience or education to to pushed into departments where they are doing entry level work when they could be doing more. It is hard to be pushed into a department I have no passion for when there is a different department that I have experience in just because they are doing mass hires for one LOB. I also don't like the lack of enforcement of rules. I try to follow the rules but I get micromanaged but other employees are constantly ignoring them but nothing is ever said. So bad behavior is tolerated and it passes down to the next training group. I understand turnover is high in a call center but they are not going to run out of applicants in this stagnant market so hold them to a higher standard.
