- 24-7 Intouch Guatemala, Inc.08.Dec 2016
Varies among campaigns, overall a positive, if immature, environment
Support from management
Frequent miscommunications between corporate, leadership, and agents. Consistent lack of communication overall
Again, varies among campaigns. When individuals are able to communicate, they work well and thrive.
Freedom to work independently
Most campaigns encourage you to make decisions independently of leadership. This can lead to errors, at times.
Leadership does not communicate clearly with each other or with agents. Rules and procedures are subject to change frequently and with little notice.
I have not seen or experienced any discrimination for people of any gender identity
Attitude towards older colleagues
During my time with 24/7, I worked with many older people, all of whom were appreciated and treated the same as younger employees.
The company frequently promotes from within. However, they will deny applicants because they did not receive training the company has yet to provide. They will deny because they believe the applicant may be bored. There appears to be little rhyme or reason to the promotion selection besides favoritism.
Overall compensation for your work
All campaigns pay $10+ / hr and after 3 months you get pretty decent insurance.
Office / Work Environment
Four elevators, though usually two are down. After 6pm, heating is turned off. Lots of windows for natural light. PCs and Macs, often working though call systems may cause errors.
Recycling bins available but not always observed. Lights, TVs, computers left on for long periods without use.
Typically understanding of personal issues that occur, including anxiety and depression. Family friendly, breastfeeding areas available, no daycare,
Not really. The high turnover rate means that I often run into former employees who feel similarly to myself. The name of the company is known and people apologize when I say I worked there.
The company appears to hire anyone who can type and speak at the same time. They won't fire you due to budget or restructuring. They will fire you for not knowing a rule that had not been communicated. They will fire you for getting sick on the job. They will fire you if it makes their work easier.
There are ramps and wide doors for limited handicap access, as well as elevators. However, these elevators are prone to malfunction and there are no alternate routes except the seven flights of stairs.
Elevators get stuck and fall often. In emergency situations, such as an employee seizure, there is no clear procedure as understood by agents. Violent, potential police instances occur rarely and are typically resolved quickly.
Varies among campaigns, fairly typical inbound customer service
Inclusive / Diverse
Accepting of employees of all ages, genders, races. Will work to accommodate all employees needs.
Suggestions for improvement
- Consistency and communication are key, throughout the company. Also, you can't know if a system will work if you change it every couple of months. Try working the bugs out of one before overhauling to a new one.
What I like about the company
24-7 Intouch will hire almost anyone. Even if you don't fit well with the campaign you applied for, they will work to find one you'll work with. They are typically understanding of personal issues and will work to accommodate for disabilities as needed.
What I dislike about the company
24-7 Intouch does not communicate well among leadership or with employees. Rules and internal programs are subject to frequent change with little notice. In order to ensure something is resolved, one must do it themselves or remember to follow up frequently so as not to be lost.
