Suggestions for improvement

  • In the construction industry, you’re constantly dealing with fluctuating costs, heavy competition, and cyclical demands. The best way to keep your business on solid footing is by continually building relationships with new clients – and the way to achieve this is through a multi-faceted marketing strategy.

What I like about the company

As many might know, working in customer support is stressful and requires to maintain a high level of concentration. To stay sane experiencing pressure every day seems to be the main goal at the beginning of a customer support career. In most cases pressure fades away after some time and routine is taking over. Still, this work isn’t easy and it’s definitely not a good fit for everyone. In today’s post I would like to share my experience and ways to make work in customer service enjoyable, or at least less hard. Besides that I want to point out why happy employees are super beneficial.

What I dislike about the company

Being good at accepting feedback is one thing… but taking action on the feedback you received is what separates great leaders. As a leader and a parent, one of the toughest pieces of feedback I ever received was that someone was “using” me. When the person told me this feedback point blank, my initial gut feeling was anger. As I mulled over the feedback, I realized they were right. That feedback was given to me at 4:00 pm on a Monday afternoon. On Tuesday at 8:00 am, I went to the person who gave me the feedback and thanked them for their feedback. I told them they were right, and outlined the actions I intended to take, and the help I would need from them to successfully implement the change.
