Company culture is toxic. Very little trust exists between managers/supervisors and those employees under them. There exists a lot of petty sabotage and back stabbing amoung employees and this is encouraged and allowed by management. Praise is given rarely and only to a handful of employees.
Support from management
Management is often unaware or ill informed of the essentials nessecary to complete projects. Targets and deadlines are often unrealistic. Employees are not consulted at all in the decision making process.
The climate is competitive and management encourages this, despite the nature of the work requiring teamwork. Some individuals are helpful, but this is not encouraged.
Freedom to work independently
While some employees are given a certain amount of autonomy, as a whole this is not the case. Employees have little say of which area they are pigeon holed into. Interesting projects always go to the same few people.
Overall compensation for your work
Compensation is all over the board and not distributed fairly. Salary is dependent on how generous the company feels at the time of hiring, not skill or experience. Many are considerably underpaid and "promotions" often come with little to no increase.
Employees are often asked to stay late right before they leave for the day or asked to work weekends late in the day on Friday. Little concern is given for employees prefix sting plans or family life. While an ample amount of faction time is awarded, taking it can be difficult for some.
Few employees are happy here.
