Company Culture

Culture that is built around threats to get the job done versus coaching.

Support from management

Threats versus coaching. Achieve results at all costs.

Teamwork

Great teammates to give support and ideas.

Freedom to work independently

Used to be creative and think outside the box. Now they regiment you to an order than cannot help sales growth.

Internal Communication

The threatening emails they get sent to get the job done. Last minute communication to try to shift. Violates the silence rule for field operations Wednesday through Friday in order to keep visit integrity in line.

Career Development

no coaching and mentoring program consistent.

Work-Life Balance

On call all the time and can't get it all done in 10 hour days. Work nights and weekends just to try to keep up.

Legal battles with employees and franchise owners

Always look over your back. Anyone will throw you under the bus and not take accountability.

LAZY EMPLOYEES, HARD ONE PICK UP SLACK BUT THEN CANT GET BREAKS MANAGERS ARE LAZY WITH THE FIELD CONSULTANTS IN THEIR EAR SAYING YOU DONT WORK NIGHTS MAKE YOUR ASM WORK NIGHTS. IT IS A HORRIBLE ENVIRONMENT

IT IS 7-ELEVEN. THEY WANT A BETTER COMPANY IMAGE BUT CANT BECAUSE IT IS A GREEDY COMPANY.

THEY HAVE HAD SOME ISSUES WITH STAFFING, AND BEING PROFITABLE WHICH WAS WHY I WAS LET GO. THEY HIRED IN SOMEONE 25K LESS THAN ME AND I WAS LET GO

BEING FROZEN IN THE COOLER, BURNED ON THE GRILL, HAVING TO SANITIZE EVERYTHING, PICKING UP CRATES OF HEAVY SODAS, DRINKS, SNOW SALT, INJURED BUT CANT SAY ANYTHING

EVERYTHING IS CHALLENGING. EX. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE TO FIND THIS REPORT, HOW CAN I VISIT THAT MANY STORES TODAY AND DRIVE THEIR REVENUE UP WHEN HE DOESNT EVEN SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE. I CANT MAKE THEM CLEAN THEIR MACHINES EVEN IF IT IS DISGUSTING BC THEY ARE A FRANCHISE. EVERYTHING THERE IS A HUGE CHALLENGE...AND THEY HAVE NO HR IN PLACE TO HELP YOU.

  • HAVE AN ACTUAL HR DEPARTMENT LOCALLY. COMMUNICATE BETTER, GET FEEDBACK FROM OTHER PEOPLE THAN YOUR FC. MARKET MANAGERS ARE LAZY AND SO ARE THE FC. I WAS ACTUALLY LET GO BC OF ANOTHER FC MISTAKE BUT SHE WAS LIKED BETTER.

I LIKE THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE THE ONESTOP STORE BETTER THROUGH, BETTER DRINKS, FOODS AND PRODUCTS

THEY LEAVE US WITH NO CONTROL, VERY DICTATORSHIP ENVIRONMENT AND WE ARE ALWAYS RUNNING AROUND WITH OUR HEADS CHOPPED OFF WHEN THERE WAS A BIG SHOT IN TOWN, OR HAD MERCH RESET, OR GOT A NEW taquito or had a big meeting. it was so unorganized and they definitely have people higher on the corporate ladder treating the people below just as they are to them, beneath

  • Stop treating your consultants as sheep. Invest in your people and stop treating them as they are just another body.

What I like about the company

7-Eleven is a good company to work for if you need flexible hours. Company is fine with you taking time off for vacation as well as sick time for family etc. Job Security is a non factor. They will tell you that they never lay anyone off but that isnt the case. The entire group that I went to training with except for one has been laid off. Management will constantly threaten your job in meetings if you dont meet your numbers. It is high stress every day. You will get harassing texts on Sunday mornings from management to make sure the store ordered donuts and muffins etc.

High Stress. Bad Management. No leadership established.
