Suggestions for improvement
- The Chief Financial Officer is making deep cuts to solve problems that employees know nothing about yet it is the employees who suffer along with the residents in the end. Whomever this person is needs to come to every department and speak with not only managers but also each employee of that department to find out who is doing what to help save money.
What I like about the company
Compassionate care for residents
What I dislike about the company
Management sides with management and not with employees. They are totally concerned with corporate image and not with employees' concerns if they view it as possibly upsetting the apple basket. They "round" the time you punch the time clock in and out. There is no teamwork between upper management and employees--they have daily meetings with employees yet issues continue to go on unchanged. Whenever there are major entertainment and events, healthcare residents are told to only bring a few because there is not going to be enough room for wheelchairs during the event. Aberdeen Village gives you PTO that you start accruing day one but can not use until 6 months later. If you have an issue that you can't talk to your supervisor about, the HR manager will side with corporate no matter what the problem is without considering all points of view of those involved.
