Support from management
Management has displayed, over a 'number' of years, unfair and unethical practices concerning letting employees go. Many decisions of that type are made without concrete reasons and are often made regardless of the level of 'on job performance'. These practices are 'extremely' reckless and without regard for the ramifications that result to the individual and family. If firings are warranted and some semblance of due process or type of warning system were in place, then there would be justification for such actions. As of now, many former employees have been treated very unfairly.
Suggestions for improvement
- Areas of dislike should be corrected as stated above.
What I like about the company
There are many positive aspects to working there, to be sure.
What I dislike about the company
In many instances, there is a lack of understanding, fairness and trust on the part of the employer. No company handbook exists as a guide to empolyees. I do not believe a reasonable level of 'due process' exists that would a give an employee an opportunity to give explanations regarding workplace related issues that concern the employer. A 'no tolerance' seems to be the prevailing attitude on the part of the employer. This is quite 'reprehensible' in my opinion. Ownership of any company can do what they want but that doesn't make it morally or ethically right.
