The district manager was quite encouraging and very easy to talk to, unfortunately can not say the same for the actual staff that I worked with on a daily basis. It seems that women were only hired as well.
Support from management
Unfortunately, I was bullied by other staff and Supervisors ignored that it was a real issue. Very unprofessional setting. Almost to the point of discrimination.
Competitive environment, felt like it was every man for himself.
Freedom to work independently
Everyone pretty much had the same tasks, although some tasks were more daunting than others, the duties were everyones responsibility.
We analyzed reports daily and were asked if we knew our daily goals which definitely kept us informed of what was expected.
Women always had their jobs awaiting them when they returned from maternity leave.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Staff was exceptionally young, nobody over the age of 30.
Always room for fast promotion if a store is not closing down.
Overall compensation for your work
Benefits were expensive, and pay could have been increased considering how much we were charging consumers for contracts.
Office / Work Environment
Some locations were very unpleasant to work in, no need to mention. The heat was unbearable in the summer.
As mentioned before, men were not hired, and company was seemingly consistent with hiring one ethnicity for language reasons.
Horrible hours, three 12 hour shifts per week, and most shifts cover mid day. No time for children or other activities.
Some employees were quite comfortable at acceptance and could envision themselves growing with the company.
As much verbal abuse I tolerated without repercussions for the offenders I would not think for a minute that anyone would have to fear losing their job.
Depending on the locations of the stores, staff can expect to be quite comfortable, especially if the locations are furniture stores.
There is rarely any lifting at acceptance
If you were in a position to get bonuses, then accomplishments were in fact rewarding.
Inclusive / Diverse
Not as far as the staff goes it seems, consumers yes indeed.
Suggestions for improvement
