HR shoukd be outsourced as complaints are not confidential. Surveys that are supposed to be anonymous ask questions relating to gender, ethnicity and tenure which make it easy to tell where it came from. Micromanagement is the norm. Areas like marketing use countless dollars to get members to join and open accounts without all the proper documentation to increase numbers. Accounting is expected to turn incomplete information into a justified expense because managers do not keep track of spending. HR and marketing should be outsourced due to confidentiality conflicts and loss of company dollars spent on a department that outsources most of what they do anyway.
This company believes team is selled with an "i". The same people get credit and are awarded with EXTRA MONIES for making mistakes. Ask any associate who will get an employee award at All Staff and it rotates between the same individuals. Management is PLACED on teams and then awarded for their involvement and EMPLOYEE appreciation. Although all members of a team can take a picture, those that receive monetary compensation tend to be the same individuals.

Lots of RED TAPE. Not exaggerating when I say you need 3-4 people to sign off to get a request done

Office / Work Environment
People are divorcing due to hooking up with a coworker. We all know who the people hooking up are and they are allowed to work together while management turns the other cheek. Both are liked in their areas so people pretend they do not know but EVERYONE knows. Coworkers talk about each other, managers talk about each other, VPs talk about each other. It's very toxic.
If you dont like gossip this is not the place for you.
Depends on the department you are in. Training and HR probably have it best. Accounting, Mortgage, Card Services, IT, Branch and some people in Marketing not so much
Members love them. Members come first and marketing will send them gifts in the form of items or money to get them to be happy. I do not know if they do it for all unhappy members or the criteria they use to decide but I do know we pay for happy members
Company does not layoff but will fire you if the error comes down to manager or you.
No way to get to the second floor if you cannot walk and the elevator is down the elevator os always out of service)
Cannot hear the fire alarm. Transient found in the building, blogger was able to record member information by looking through the window before they were rented. Building is on the same block that frequent prostitutes and drug deals. Auditor was able to walk around without anyone asking who she was.
Trying to fix numerous errors to make other areas look good is very challenging so you will be challenged

- Outsource HR Outsource Marketing Put policies in place so there are no grey areas Update building for safety Put money toward staff and not buy members
