Too many changes in HR staff. As soon as you get used to someone great, they disappear.
Support from management
The good ones are awesome, but they don't stay in one position for long. Then you're faced with countless unanswered phones and calls that never get returned.
Once you bring a legitimate issue with one of their clients up, they forget your name, and you can forget ever being placed on another assignment. Safety hazards in your work place? Keep it to yourself if you want to work for Accuforce.
Freedom to work independently
Oh, you are definitely on your own...
There have been times when these guys were super & on top of things, but with the constant shifting of their management team, you're often left hanging.
I've never witnessed anyone being held back based on their gender. Another good quality.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I think they base their decisions mainly on an employee's previous work experience.
I was placed on one particular assignment that became a much more significant role with the client.
Overall compensation for your work
Pay depends on the client. They've offered jobs that didn't pay well enough for the work, and they've also jobs that paid quite well for the duties performed.
Office / Work Environment
For office jobs, I'll give them three stars, because your environment is usually nice. For manufacturing jobs, it varies. But never complain about the working conditions on your assignments. They honestly don't want to know.
I'm not aware of any eco-consciousness with Accuforce.
You just have to take whichever schedules are available with their clients. I worked with one company through Accuforce who made their employees work a mandatory seven day week for months, then changed them to rotating twelve hour shifts with very little notice.
Employees rarely have access to upper management, and concerns often go unresolved.
Employees are told up front whether there is potential for permanent employment with a particular client, and exactly how long their contract is for. They never remove an employee suddenly or without reason from an assignment.
I brought up some pretty serious safety violations at one client's facility, and as far as I know, nothing was ever done about it.
I've had at least one assignment where I had to learn things I've never done before. The work is probably as challenging as you're willing to be challenged. Depends on the actual job your placed on.
Inclusive / Diverse
Definitely their strongest quality.
