Our volunteer wellness team puts in the extra effort to make sure we have a great work environment. Upper level management makes time to help and work with employees, and you can talk with them as if on an equal footing.
Support from management
My Director views his job is to move obstacles so we can get our job done right. Provide us with the experience we need to succeed. Our management is generally on our side.
your team and leadership will help you succeed, but you will need to let them know when you need help, and of course ask questions. Then again people can't read minds so this should be expected.
Freedom to work independently
In general I work on my own, and sometimes get assigned to assist a colleague in the team, or get assigned colleagues to assist me. When assigned it is up to the person you are assigned to how the work resources are distributed but in general you can work on your own or make use of the people there to help you.
We have internal communication that is functional and efforts are currently being made to expand the openness of departmental communication. Leadership is very good about communicating what they company is doing and our plans.
roughly 50/50 varying by team, we still hire whoever is best for the position, but in general that works out.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I really haven't asked anyone how old they are seems rude, either way the older looking employees are treated with the respect due their positions, and same for the younger employees. Even the call center workers are treated with dignity. As someone who has worked in a call center before I can say that is rare in other companies.
In general when you start your manager or director will begin trying to figure out what advancement path is going to look like and what you will have to learn or prove to reach that goal.
Overall compensation for your work
I could probably make a bit more doing similar work in analytics, but I am getting solid health benefits including full coverage of my dental and vision.
Office / Work Environment
We have a nice new office that was built a little over a year ago, ample parking, good lighting, great break room, and plenty of setup to prevent sickness from running around.
We made sure to make our building environmentally friendly, and even have a recharge station for electric cars.
generally you can expect good work life balance, working from home when weather is bad, or you need to be home with your sick kid. Also being flexible with schedules.
We have a hard working and competent marketing team that keeps our company image good, and it doesn't hurt that our product is solid.
Once you make it past your 90 days, you are in, unless you become a large risk to the company. Which at that point you deserve to go.
We are handicap accessible
I have not heard of any big injuries at our new office, and we tend to keep things safe, and follow basic protocols. Also we treat our employees like adults and they generally rise to that occasion.
varies from day to day, some times the work is monotonous. Other times you are going through systems and documents trying to discover a creative solution to a very complicated client request.
Inclusive / Diverse
we are a small company, my team is half male half female, we have many employees of different religions, and races.
The following benefits were offered to me
